How To Use Content Marketing

Okay…We have covered “What” and “Why” now let’s cover the “How.”

You can use content marketing in all your marketing efforts, including print, radio, TV and of course online.

  1. Make sure you target a specific market. You can’t be everything to everybody.
  2. Make sure your content is relevant and valuable to those you are targeting. It should never just be a disguised sales pitch.
  3. You must educate your target audience about your industry
  4. The message needs to include a subtle marketing message that grabs the reader’s attention and gets them interested. The message is what is important, not trying to close the sale.
  5. Always leave them wanting more.
  6. Make sure your message shows the true passion you have for your industry. Inspiration will led to action.

It sounds so simple and it is, but the hardest thing to do is wait for the results. Remember this is not advertising. You won’t see results overnight.

This isn’t a microwave it’s a crockpot approach to marketing. In the long run which would you rather have?

So get your message out there and remember be passionate about it.

Sorry It’s Been So Long…

Four months since my last blog. Shame on me. But I have exciting news. I started work for Yepser, an internet strategy company specializing in social media. More on that later.
